Why Call Your Network Marketing Leads: Reason #1: Make Money

If you are in network marketing, one of the most important tasks is to call your leads. But you already know that. What is the most important reason? This is where you make the money.

You can do as much passive marketing as you would like. Posting on your blog – like this one – or creating Facebook posts, Tweets on Twitter, and even YouTube videos. But the only thing that is going to make you money is your time on the phone.

Active marketing requires that you actually talk to people. That isn’t a problem, is it? After all you signed up for network marketing. So you will need to be talking to your network.

No one buys from a link posted on Facebook. It just doesn’t happen. Unless you are very, very lucky. In almost all cases, you will use your online marketing – active and passive – to find leads.

When someone gives you a phone number, do you call them? Right away? And develop your closing skills?  If not, how is your business doing? Are you the success you want to be? Need to be? Chances are there is room for improvement. A lot of room. Right?

I know how tough it can be to pick up the phone – we have all been there, but this is where they money is made. If you have done a good job of attracting leads, that is only part of the battle. Now you need to talk to the prospect.

I know this is a whole lot easier said than done. I have been in the same situation. I have gotten leads and just never picked up the phone. Of course I sent them an email – with an invitation to call me. I tried to make it as easy as possible. But that doesn’t work. It doesn’t for me, and probably doesn’t for you.

So here is my advice: get on the phone. Right now. Today. And you will see an insane change in your business. Now if you are already doing this – congratulations. But are there more calls to make? How about some follow-up calls? How many of those have you done today?

If you have signed up for a part-time or full-time career in network marketing, you will need to get on the phone. So let’s get started. Quit reading this and pick up your phone. Make a call.
